Rules to address the Board and Committee(s):
Speakers wishing to address the Board/Committee(s) should complete a Speakers Form and submit it to the District Secretary. The Board President/Committee Chair(s) will invite you to speak at the appropriate time. Speakers who wish to address subjects not listed on this agenda will be invited to address the Board/Committee(s) under the PUBLIC COMMENTS section of the agenda. Speakers who wish to address a specific agenda item will be invited to address the Board/Committee(s) at the time the item is being considered.
Time Limitations:
All individuals addressing the Board should limit their comments to two (2) minutes. Individuals wanting to present more detailed information are encouraged to submit comments in writing.
Time of Meetings:
Times included on the agenda for commencement of Committee meetings or a Closed Session are estimates only. Committee meetings and Closed Session will begin upon the conclusion of the preceding meeting.
Discussion/Action:
The Board/Committee(s) may take action on any item listed on this agenda and in any order. For details on scheduled meetings see specific agenda(s).
Agenda Planning:
The Agenda Planning portion of the agenda is designed to assist the Board/Committee(s) and staff in the preparation of future Board and Committee agendas. The Board/Committee(s) will determine whether to place proposed agenda items on a future agenda for further consideration.
Availability of Agenda Related Materials:
Written agenda related materials for all open session regular meetings are available to the public 72 hours prior to the meeting or at the time the writing is distributed to all or a majority of the Board. Agenda related materials presented to the Board of Directors by staff or another member of the Board at a meeting will be available to the public at that time or after the meeting if the materials are prepared by some other person. Agenda related materials are available from the District Secretary Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at 1600 Franklin Street, 10th Floor, Oakland, California. Information is also available on the District's Web site.
Accessible Public Meetings:
Written agenda materials in appropriate alternative formats, or disability related modification or accommodation; including auxiliary aids or services will be available upon request. Please include your name, mailing address, phone number and brief description of the requested materials and preferred alternative format. Assistive Listening Devices are available in the Board Room for individuals with a hearing impairment. Please see the District Secretary prior to the start of the meeting for assistance.
Electronic Devices:
Ordinance No. 12 prohibits the use of electronic devices (cellular phones, pagers and/or walkie-talkies) during meetings of the Board of Directors, Board Committees, or advisory committees.
Animals on District Property:
Ordinance No. 13 prohibits bringing non-service animals to District facilities or allowing them to roam unrestrained at said facilities, unless specifically authorized by federal or state law.
Scented Products:
Please refrain from wearing scented products as there may be attendees susceptible to environmental illnesses.
