TransLink can make your daily commute more convenient, and more secure. A TransLink card keeps track of its value and when you use it, automatically deducts the correct fare (including transfers and discounts). With TransLink, you can:
- Stop carrying multiple forms of payment (exact change, tickets, or passes)
- Automatically add value when your card balance is low, with the Autoload feature
- Replace registered cards and restore the card's balance for a small fee, if your card is lost, damaged, or stolen
- Get on the bus faster
TransLink can be used by adult riders, and riders who have an RTC TransLink-enabled card, on the Dumbarton Express and on Golden Gate Transit & Ferry. In early 2009, Muni bus passengers will also be able to use TransLink! Later in the year, our Youth riders will be able to get a TransLink card. Eventually, your TransLink card can be used on all Bay Area transit systems.
